February 7^th - Release Notes

Engineer enrollment procedures have been updated to require identity checks before users may perform work on the Field Engineer platform.

1. Signup and email verification:

The user must enter their username and password on the Let's get started screen after clicking the Signup button to begin the registration process.
The user will receive an email with a number to validate his email address before continuing to add his address and skills to his profile.

2. Address:

The engineer's profile includes the address at which they would like to be notified of any onsite jobs that were posted on the Field Engineer marketplace.

3. Skills:

Add your certificates and skills so we can alert you to any jobs that match them in the market.

The user now has two options after completing the initial steps of registration: either to continue with the on-boarding process or to search for jobs on the FieldEngineer marketplace.

The user can continue with the rest of the registration procedure after clicking Continue On-boarding.

4. Mobile Number:

Add and validate the mobile number used for job communication and account verification

5. Identity Verification:

Use the automated verification method to confirm your identity by supplying the government-issued ID as proof or manually upload the documents that show your identification.

a. Automated Identity Verification

Provide any one of the three government-issued identification documents (driver's license, ID card, or passport) to our automated system to verify your identity.

Users' profiles will be shown in accordance with the ID provided after the automated identity verification process has been successfully completed.

The user can, if necessary, change the address only if the ID used during the verification process did not include the address.

The user will have two chances to verify his identification; if the verification fails after those two chances, the user can contact customer support to fix the problem.

b. Manual Identity Verification

To begin the Manual Identity Verification, click the link. Upload the following documents, which are required: Proof of Resident, Selfie with proof of resident and Selfie
If you need to convey any specific information on the uploaded documents, add notes.

Give your first and last names.

6. Tax:

Engineers registering from the United States must provide tax information, either as an individual or a business, in order for us to send a copy of Form 1099-MISC and report the earnings to the IRS.
